The collective war grave of the inhabitants of Orzesze [Orzesche] and the surrounding area is located in the forest known as Pasterniok, between the districts of Jaśkowice [Jaschkowitz], Centrum, and Zawada. It is a memorial to the victims of World War II. On September 3, 1939, the Germans executed 23 local residents here, including Silesian insurgents and plebiscite activists.
