The open-air museum (skansen) in Lubieszów is a local Regional Chamber established on the initiative of residents in 2008. The object serves as a museum and integration center, presenting the local cultural heritage and traditions of the region.
The skansen displays a series of exhibits that testify to the uniqueness of the old Opole village. There are old photographs of Lubieszów residents, everyday objects and handicraft exhibitions.
The interior of the room has been divided into a museum and media section. In the first, the appearance of a bedroom and Silesian kitchen from the old days has been recreated. A 150-year-old kitchen stove and bread oven have also been faithfully reconstructed. In the central part, tools are arranged that were once used in households. The exhibition was created based on the resources of Lubieszów residents and nearby municipalities.
The Lubieszów chamber also hosts social events such as workshops, integration meetings and traditional ceremonies such as "leading a bear" or Meibaum, i.e. raising Moika. The skansen is an important center of social life referred to by residents as a "second home". The skansen makes it possible to preserve and transmit local history and traditions, combining educational and social functions.
