In Rachowice, in the close vicinity of the historic wooden church dedicated to the Holy Trinity, there is a granary listed in the register of monuments.
The granary probably dates from the first half of the 19th century, although some sources also suggest an older period of origin (between the 17th and 19th centuries). It was part of the former manor farm complex.
The object was built using traditional timber-frame construction, with an unusual system of supporting the upper floor, which makes it a valuable example of regional wooden architecture. The granary served to store grain and agricultural products, and after World War II was used by the PGR (state collective farm). Currently, it is unused and requires conservation work. Its cultural value lies in the preservation of traditional building techniques. The building is located on the Wooden Architecture Trail of the Silesian Voivodeship as one of the few preserved examples of wooden farm buildings.
Planned renovation and adaptation projects could give the granary the function of a museum or community center, while preserving the historical character of the object.
