The Evangelical church in Fosowskie [Vossowska] (a district of the town of Kolonowskie [Colonnowska]), a branch of the parish in Lasowice Wielkie, was built in 1928 as a long-awaited temple for local Evangelicals. Built in the neo-Romanesque style, it is distinguished by a simple, harmonious form with a tower. Initially, it gathered a large community, mainly connected with the industrial development of the Kolonowskie area. An interesting fact is that during World War II, the church bells were requisitioned and then melted down at the steelworks in Zawadzkie for military equipment. Fate also did not spare the church organ – in 2012, the instrument by the Sauer company, dating from the construction period, was stolen. After 1945, many believers emigrated or were resettled. Nevertheless, the temple survived the difficult post-war period, retaining its sacred function. Today, the church in Fosowskie remains one of the traces of the Evangelical presence in this area. Services are held here regularly, though less frequently, and the building itself is entered in the registry of monuments. Modest but full of history, it is an important element of the religious and cultural heritage of the Opole region.
